Media Arena
Concept:
The concept for designing the Media Arena was based on media architecture and interacting with waterfront. The form expands along the water front resembling electromagnetic waves in transmitting data. Dynamic paneling in facade provides capabilities of solar panel installations in addition to enhancing the daylighting and aesthetic qualitites.
Design:
Media City UK is the home of BBC, ITV , Peel media and so many other companies and the vision is to become a hub for innovation in content production. In this area, there is a need for entertainment centers to engage people with media production. Therefore, this complex was proposed to acomodate the latest media production to be showcased to public. It consists of several activities and entertainment related to British Media such as Doctor Who, CBBC cartoons, Media Mall, a food court and gift shops in the south side of Manchester Ship Canal.
